A brand ready to launch, with a site that wasn't.

ParentHax is an Australian baby and kids brand — quick-win parenting solutions across bath time, potty training, sleep, and sick days. The founders had the product and the brand voice. What they needed was a Shopify store that matched it, and an answer to why they couldn't be found in Google.

The brief was to build the theme entirely to brand guidelines — every section purpose-built, no off-the-shelf theme as a starting point, and everything configurable through the native Shopify editor so the founders could manage it themselves from day one.

ParentHax homepage — hero section with brand palette, category grid, and playful brand characters

Every pixel built to match the brand.

ParentHax had a clear identity before the site existed — warm, practical, slightly witty, with a visual language built around bright colour, playful illustration, and a tagline that said exactly what the brand was for: "Quick Win Solutions Designed to Help Manage the Chaos."

The brief was to build a Shopify store that felt like that brand from the first scroll — not a generic theme with the logo swapped in. That meant understanding the brand and incorporating the typography, palette, layout, and tone into every section of the theme, so the site and the brand were inseparable.

Typography was built around Palmer Lake Print — a hand-drawn display font that carries the playful, approachable energy of the brand — paired with Josefin Sans for body copy to keep everything readable and clean. Both were embedded as custom theme assets, not pulled from Google Fonts, to ensure consistent rendering across all devices.

ParentHax — trade registration form and founder story sections, built to brand

Shopify OS 2.0 theme, built with love.

The theme was built to OS 2.0 spec — fully section-based, editor-friendly, and designed entirely around the ParentHax brand guidelines without relying on any paid theme as a starting point. Every section was purpose-built to carry the brand's visual identity while remaining easy for the founders to manage and update themselves.
